How I Got My @$&# Together

First off, happy frickin’ 2018! What is time if not flying by?! I hope you had a fun and safe celebration with your loved ones last night. I hope your new year started off with lots of laughter, warm friendship, and lots of champagne 🥂

Now, let’s get to it.

2016 and most of 2017 was a struggle for me. After having Clementine in January of 2016, I barely knew which way was up. I was severely depressed and sleeping less than ever. Once my cycles resumed in December of 2016, things seemed to improve but I was struggling to find a new normal. I had quit my job at a law firm to be a stay at home mom and was not taking to the adjustment well. I was exhausted yet somehow completing nothing. I hardly had any energy to do little more than survive. But I was done surviving. Surviving wasn’t suiting who I am at my core. But in order to go from surviving to thriving, I had to change a lot of things and create new/different habits.

So that’s exactly what I did – what I’m striving to do everyday. I was sick and tired of being sick and tired, so I changed. That simple (simple =/= easy). I was done being a victim. So I identified areas in my life that weren’t suiting me and found ways to change or improve them.

So everyday this week, you’ll have a brand spankin’ new blog post coming at’choo, detailing the changes I’ve made. I’m so excited to be launching my first series to kick off the new year! This is the first step in making huge leaps and bounds for my blog.

My hope for this series is that I can share what worked for me in hopes that it will work for you too. I know so many women, especially mothers, are fumbling through life in survival mode, taking the scraps of life and reacting to life’s punches as they come. And I’m here to share with you that it doesn’t have to be that way. And if you think I sound like I’m on drugs right now, then that’s totally fine – just promise me you’ll make it through this week-long series and hear me out.

  1. Get back to taking care of me again! I feel like I’m running on empty-so to better care for my family-I need to care for myself
