I think it’s safe to assume that everyone’s favorite part about the holidays is all the treats! Who doesn’t love sweet, delicious treats that are made with love?! But making them can be down-right stressful! Planning, prepping, measuring, mixing, scooping, cleaning! I feel a little frazzled just typing all that out! So I’ve discovered three amazing recipes that take 5 ingredients or less. They’re all easy to buy for, easy to make, and don’t produce a ton of dishes #winwin
Oreo Truffles
This first recipe comes to us from TheCozyCook.com. She decorates her truffles with drizzled chocolate, but I recommend crushed up candy canes to make them Christmas-y. These truffles are rich and delicious – in fact, when I still lived at home, my mother used to forbid me from making these because she simply couldn’t control herself! This recipe also makes quite a large batch, so it’s great for holiday parties.
Oreo Fudge
Are we noticing a theme here? Can you tell what my husband’s favorite cookie is?!
This amazing, super sweet fudge recipe comes from CrunchyCreamySweet.com and only uses three ingredients! The fudge is soft and creamy while the crushed Oreo cookies provide a crunchy and delicious element.
Red Velvet Cake Mix Cookies
If you’ve never made cake mix cookies, then you need to do so ASAP. They’re easy, simply divine, and available in a variety of flavors. For the holidays, I like to do red velvet cookies. In the recipe from JustATaste.com, she adds white chocolate chips to her cookies, but I like to stir up some green cream cheese frosting. Either way is delicious!
This single recipe only yields about 12-15 cookies, depending on the size of your cookies, so please take that into consideration when planning.
Final Thoughts
Any one of these three recipes would be a hit at a holiday party! And no one has to know that you didn’t slave away in the kitchen for them – it can be our little secret! I love that these recipes are not only delicious, but cost-effective too!
